The TreeCare workshop was led by arborists Alan and Sunny, who shared insights on the relationship between trees and carbon reduction, an introduction to the arborist profession, methods for measuring trees, and how to calculate their amount of carbon sequestration. During the guided tour, students learned how to observe and identify trees and tried measuring them.
The Solar Tour was conducted by staff from CCIL, helping students gain a basic understanding of solar power systems.
We hope this event will help students grasp the role trees and solar energy play in mitigating climate change, also to encourage them to be more aware of climate change issues.
