Solar InnoWorkshop X S.K.H. Ho Chak Wan Primary School: Solar Torch Workshop
On the morning of July 20th, CCIL organized a solar-powered torch workshop for the primary students of S.K.H. Ho Chak Wan Primary School. More than 50 students participated in the workshop.
We first explained the concepts of climate change and solar energy to help students understand how renewable energy can mitigate climate change. After the lecture, the students followed the instructor's directions to gradually assemble their own solar torch. They used a wooden hammer to assemble the torch, and the sound of hammering filled the air. The solar torch was made from recycled wood and was small in size, which could be hung on their backpacks.
The solar torch brings solar energy into our daily lives. We hope that every time when the students use this torch, they will remember the knowledge they learned on that day.
