CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) receive the Gold Facilitation Impact Award
CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) is honoured to receive the Gold Facilitation Impact Award from the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) for our project "Climate Community Dialogue & Just Transition"! We are thankful to IAF for recognising our facilitation achievements.
The key to facilitation is to respect everyone who has the opportunity to make their voices. We believe in equal participation in identifying solutions and opportunities together. Nevertheless, the needs of vulnerable communities are easily overlooked. We are delighted to have used facilitation skills to bring climate change issues to different communities and to drive meaningful dialogue among groups from various sectors. Through these dialogues, we have been able to assist vulnerable communities in pursuing climate justice and adapting to the increasingly severe climate change.
In addition to facilitation techniques, enthusiasm is also crucial. We understand that climate change may not be the top priority for many organisations. However, with passion and sincerity, most groups come to realise the relevance of climate change to their work and engage in discussions on responses.
We would like to express our gratitude to our funder for the support. Most importantly, we want to thank every friend who has participated in the dialogues. Your passion for climate change is essential in making these dialogues possible.

From 2020 to October 2022, CarbonCare InnoLab conducted 10 Climate Community Dialogues with 112 organisations. These dialogues focused on discussing how residents of subdivided flats, the social welfare sector, the healthcare service sector, outdoor workers, persons with disabilities, persons with mental illness, and women's groups can face and adapt to climate change. The dialogue also explored the establishment of communities with renewable energy and the development of smart cities that can adapt to climate change. The dialogues were summarised in the Hong Kong Just Transition Report.
