Solar InnoWorkshop X Pui Shing Catholic Secondary School : DIY Solar Woodwatch
The workshop began with a 15-minute introduction to climate change and climate justice by the CarbonCare InnoLab's tutor. Students were taught how to use renewable energy in their daily lives. The instructors from the WoodWatchHK then guided the learners through the process of assembling a wooden watch. The wood watch's components were collected from fallen trees during a typhoon and replicated as wooden assemble pieces. Students could also choose their favourite rim and watchband colour. Students were able to build their own customized wood watches with the help of clear directions from the teachers.
According to the WoodWatchHK teachers, the students were extremely cooperative since they were able to complete the task in such a short amount of time.
