On 6 December 2024, we successfully replaced old lighting with energy-saving LED lights in 13 households, who are families of persons with disabilities. All beneficiaries were satisfied with the service, as it not only helped them reduce carbon emissions but also improved their living environment. The LED lights provide brighter and more comfortable illumination, creating a more pleasant living space for the households.
Volunteers who participated in the activity all agreed that the activity was meaningful and that small actions can make a big difference. This experience has significantly increased their willingness to promote climate change awareness and even take personal action to combat climate change. The project served as a valuable reminder that even small steps, such as switching to energy-efficient lighting, can contribute to a more sustainable future for all.

CarbonCare InnoLab x Sun Hung Kei EnergyCare Activity
CarbonCare InnoLab and Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited (SHK), together with Hong Kong PHAB Association Family Hub Parents/Relatives Resource Centre, recently completed a lights replacement activity in Tai Po, Fanling and Sheung Shui. This activity focused on enhancing the energy efficiency of vulnerable groups.
