DIY Solar Light Jar workshop X Hong Kong Toi Shan Association Neighbourhood Elderly Centre
We organized a DIY Solar Light Jar InnoWorkshop for the 36 participants at the Hong Kong Toi Shan Association Neighbourhood Elderly Centre. The activity is merely the same as the past events we held and comes to an unsettling conclusion. Different views and knowledge of climate change and climate justice were shared with the eldetly by our tutor in Carboncare Innolab . The elderly of Toi Shan is captivated and interested in climate change issues, and everyone at the InnoWorkshop talked about their Christmas celebrations. There were tears and gladness among us at the occasion.
The elderly find it difficult to paint on the light jar because it requires both inventiveness and hand-eye coordination. In order for the elderly to paint their desired patterns in an easier way and gain experience painting on the jar, the tutors and assistants of the center decided to offer a helping hand to each senior. The purpose of the activity was to give participants a chance to unwind mentally and spiritually while having a good time. Everyone enjoyed and relaxed during the event as anticipated. Since everyone who attended the event appreciated our tutor's speech and wanted her to stay and host similar events in the future, our tutor found it difficult to leave after the event. Tears were flowing freely along with the elation.
