Caritas Wu Cheng-chung College: Solar Tour

Under the “Hang Seng Low Carbon Future – Low Carbon Schools” programme, CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) installed a solar PV system for Caritas Wu Cheng-chung College (CWCC). This enables the school to receive Feed-in Tariff (FiT) rebates to support its climate education initiatives.

In the 2025/26 academic year, CCIL brought climate education into the school through a series of integrated curriculum workshops.

On 28 October 2025, a solar tour was organised for CWCC's Form 3 students. At this event, the staff of CCIL introduced fundamental knowledge of climate change, solar energy, and related engineering principles to the students. Students also had the chance to visit the solar system located on the school rooftop. They were excited to join the tour, and they gained a deeper understanding of the importance of adopting renewable energy and recognised the school’s active contributions to climate mitigation.
