"Design a solar-powered device for either one of these groups"

Poor living condition is harmful to their physical and mental health
In Hong Kong, 220,000 people live in subdivided flats and experience poor living conditions such as energy poverty, and extreme heat and humidity levels that are harmful to their physical and mental health. Climate change is aggravating the living condition among subdivided households. Design a solar-driven device to help them adapt to climate change.

Climate change adaptation
Outdoor workers such as cleansing workers, construction workers and security guards must work long hours outdoors. As hot weather and climate disasters become more frequent and intense, their safety and health are in danger. Design a solar-driven device to help them adapt to climate change.

Accelerate the use of solar energy
Design a solar power device that can benefit the community, so as to accelerate the use of solar energy in Hong Kong. It can be a simple solar-powered add-on to existing electrical appliances/ machines, e.g. a solar-powered vending machine.
