SOLAPSAP is an outdoor smart trash can powered by solar electricity. Sunlight is converted into electricity by solar panels and stored in lithium batteries. To open the cover, users simply need to wave their hands in front of the sensor. Via wireless network, the trash can may alert the user when it is full. In order to stop the spread of bacteria, the trash can is also fitted with an ultraviolet light disinfection system. This allows the cleaners to change the waste bags without worrying about contamination.
