Eligibility

Will be aged between 18 and 30
on the date that you attend the training

Hong Kong
Identity Card holder

Equipped with language, communication,
problem-solving and leadership skills

Who Should Apply?

Able to commit a significant amount of time throughout the programme duration, the 5-month course period.

Possess a strong enthusiasm for climate change, environmental and social justice issues.

Have an interest in making a positive difference through campaigning and advocacy.

Demonstrate a desire to participate in local or international climate actions or advocacy efforts.

Commit to serving the Hong Kong community, preferably with commendable experience in innovation or community service.

Supporting documents

A Curriculum Vitae

Copies of certificates of academic/professional qualifications (where applicable)

Official or unofficial transcripts of tertiary level studies (where applicable)

A 600-word personal statement in Chinese, introducing yourself, explaining the reasons why you want to join our programme, and sharing your perspective on climate advocacy and;

An 1,500-2,000 -word essay in English on one of the following topics：

A) Compare the youth participation in climate policy-making between Hong Kong and international contexts. To what extent can global best practices be adapted to enhance Hong Kong's youth engagement in climate governance?
B) Evaluate the social impacts of Hong Kong's current adaptation policies. How can youth advocates ensure future climate adaptation policies promote climate justice?
C) A proposal for a climate advocacy campaign in Hong Kong

Fee of the Programme

This training is free with the support of funding for all successful applicants. Certificate of participation will be awarded to participants fulfilling 80% attendance rate of all modules.

Steps of Application

Fill in the online application form

Submit all supporting documents and essays by 24 January 2026 (Saturday) to Karly Ip: karly.ip@ccinnolab.org, using the subject line [CATY 2026_Your full name]

Applicants who submit all required documents and are shortlisted will be invited for interviews in January and February 2026. The interviews will be held on a rolling basis.
