On 4 February 2023, CCIL collaborated with SolarCare Partner, "Hong Kong Adventure Corps: High Island Training Camp", to organise a solar tour for parents, teachers, and students of Hong Kong Taoist Association Yuen Yuen Institute No. 3 Secondary School at their campsite.

The  High Island Training Camp sits adjacent to the High Island Reservoir, which was a training facility owned by British Army. The camp is equipped with rock climbing/abseiling facilities, an obstacle course, a parade ground and canteen, etc. The notable highlight is the presence of two old tanks and an old ship anchor.

Close to 60 people participated on that day, and the solar tour was one of the activities of the half-day event for the school. Due to unexpected road closures and affected by heavy rain, the tour had to be shortened. However, the participants showed great interest in the knowledge shared by the tour guide and expressed a desire to learn more. We hope to have the opportunity to share the knowledge in detail with them in the future.
